So I’m back again !!!!! So let’s start off with telling you a bit about myself. My name is Emma Heaney and I am currently in my second year of Bife studying for my level 6. This is my second time in Malaga and getting chosen for the Erasmus so I feel extremely lucky and honored to be here. This blog is for people to get a better insight into the Erasmus+ programme and my own personal experience in Malaga. I hope you enjoy :) Preparation for Mobility Since this is my second time completing the Erasmus+ programme and in Malaga i felt as though i didnt have to do as much preparation as i did the first time around. I did decide to practise some of my Spanish on Duolingo just so id know some of the basics before i arrived. This really helped me during my mobility and made me feel more confident when i was over here. Other than this i didn't really feel as though i had to do much preparation except for pack my suitcase's and more sure i had all my documents in order so we wouldn'

Sunday13th of February: Day 1 We arrived in Spain at around 11:15, a bus collected us from the airport and brought us to the main office where we met with Ricardo and got the details of our work placements. We then got taxis to our apartments. We left our bags into the apartment and Niamh and I went for lunch at a little restaurant right beside where we are staying. Later that evening we went for a walk around and seen the beautiful lights at the square which is just a minutes walk from our apartment. Monday 14th of February: Day 2 I had the day off work so spent the morning exploring Malaga. I got breakfast at a little café. The pan au chocolates are so nice over here. I walked through the different streets and found a churro place. We had a walking tour at 4 which me and Niamh got lost on the way to but we made it. We seen the Main Street of Malaga and the cathedral and the tour guide recommended a lovely ice cream parlour. Later that evening we went to a restaurant called ‘Las Gato

Hi my names Becky. I am a senior hairstylist in Bray Institute Of Education. I live in wicklow and I am 28 years old.  How I prepared for this mobility was to try study as much Spanish as I could. I also looked up phrases and word to do with hairdressing which should help me with my placement!😊 we arrived on the 13th of February to the lovely sunny Malage. The sunny weather was a welcome sight ! We arrived at our accommodation in the middle of the center. Our accommodation is amazing we have a lovely apartment with a kitchen. We are in short walking distance to all the shops and the center so we could not be happier! Fernando who was in charge of our accommodation was so helpful!😊 We felt so welcome arriving in malaga! The mobility has been amazing so far down to the company, work, weather and company ☀️🙂.  We went on monday the 14th to introduce ourselves to the people we would be working with. They where so friendly and nice. The salon I am in is quite enou

Preparation For Erasmus In preparation for this trip I went to Spanish classes in the college along with practicing Spanish in my free time.  I studied Spanish in secondary school for 5 years which has enabled me to have a basic understanding of the language and speak to the locals.  Malaga I’m staying in an apartment with Christina and we’re an 8 minute walk from the main street. We both have a room to ourselves and the flat has two bathrooms. We don’t have an oven so we have been going out for food rather than cooking at home. We also have realised it’s cheaper to eat out than it is to cook at home! For breakfast most mornings i have been getting a sandwich with jamón along with an espresso which costs only around €3.50! From the food to the drinks it is so much more affordable in Malaga in comparison to Ireland. My Accommodation  When we first arrived in Malaga we were given two keys to the apartment. It took a bit of fidgeting to try get the knack of opening the doors but eventuall
